WHAT IS IT
Tests that confirm what the terrain promises.
Laboratory testing and quality control are an integral part of the geotechnical process. Laboratory tests allow for the characterization of the physical and mechanical properties of soils and rocks collected in the field, complementing the information obtained during prospecting.
On-site quality control ensures that earthworks, compaction, and foundation work meet the requirements defined in the project. Riasonda performs these works in partnership with certified laboratories, ensuring accuracy and traceability of results.

What we accomplished
Laboratory tests and on-site inspections for each phase of the project.
Particle Size Analysis
Determining the dimensional distribution of soil particles. Essential for geotechnical classification and for the design of filters and drains.
Consistency Limits
Determination of Atterberg limits. Characterization of soil behavior as a function of water content.
Moisture Content and Compaction
Proctor tests for determining the compaction curve and controlling the degree of compaction on site.
Soil and Rock Resistance
Uniaxial compression and direct shear tests. For characterization of the mechanical strength of the materials under study.
In Situ Quality Control
Gamma-ray spectrometry and plate load test. Verification of the degree of compaction and load-bearing capacity in earthworks and foundations.
Applications
When the project requires technical verification.
Controlo de compactação em terraplenagens e aterros
Caracterização de solos para projetos de fundação
Verificação de requisitos geotécnicos em obra
Geotechnical studies for licensing.
Rehabilitation of land with soils of uncertain characteristics.
Road and rail infrastructure projects
